We have heard the old adage of “work hard not smart “all too often these days. In order to keep up with the proverb, we tend to master the fine art of multi-tasking. As a result, we are cramming more and more things into our daily schedule as we want to be as productive as possible. Nonetheless, all of the multi-taskers are completely oblivious to the fact that multi-tasking does not only waste their already precious and limited time, but also decrease their productivity as well as creativity. In addition, research has proven that 40% of multi-taskers’ time is wasted while they are switching tasks and only a mere 2% of people can genuinely multitask.

Fortunately, When I Work has come up with a great infographic which depicts the pitfalls of multi-tasking. Furthermore, it also provides several ways to function more effectively as well as unleash your creativity. Ultimately, the best way to increase productivity is by doing one task at a time.
