In comparison to all sorts of languages used in the world, English can be a pretty difficult language to master at times. Never mind the ever mind-boggling pronunciations and peculiar grammars; every place has its own unique expressions when it uses the mentioned lingua franca. Once you are bombarded with some local idioms when you are travelling to a place, you will certainly feel bewildered and even offended when you are not part of them. 

British are perhaps one of the best examples that you can relate to. When it comes to language, they have very odd choice of expressions to the extent that you might find yourself confused whenever you are interacting with them. For instances, when the Brits say you are “a pig in mug”, you should not take it as an insult as it means you are generally happy!
