Generally speaking, fries are one of the most favourite foods consumed by people all over the world. They can come in a myriad of shape, such as crinkle-cut, wedges criss-cut, disks and the likes. Everyone has his or her own distinct preferences when it comes to these mouth-watering fried potatoes.

While they can certainly be eaten simply by sprinkling some salt and pepper, every country has come up with its own unique twist to the fries. For instances, Canadians make it into poutine, where the fries are drenched in gravy and cheese curds. The Japanese, on the other hand, added seaweed and fish flakes to their fries.
