5 Things Only People Who Workout Understand

Incorporating exercise into your daily life can be beneficial to both your mental and physical health. Not only will you be able to elevate your health and stamina, you will also be able to gain an astounding physique at the same time. In addition, with sheer determination and adequate hard work, you might even be able to transform your body shape from scrawny to brawny, similar to those front cover male models appeared in fitness magazines such as Men’s Health.

As the saying goes, ‘No Pain, No Gain.’ You will face some challenges when you first started an exercise regime. However, as the passes by, you will treat your workout sessions as a part of your life. Here are five things that only gm goers can understand.

1. Sore Muscles On The Next Day.
Nothing feels better (probably not) than having pain and aching muscles all over your body when you wake up following the day after you had an intense workout. You know that you should feel that way and you are somehow glad as those sore muscles indicate you have exercised hard enough and your body parts are recovering from the workouts you have done!

2. People Do Not Place Things Back To Their Places.
You find it irritating enough when people do not place the plates or barbells to the shelves after they have done exercising. Although you are not suffering from OCD, you go to the gym so regularly that it has practically become your second home. Eventually, you tend to help and clear the place before you leave the gym.

3. People Hogging Machines.
It is frustrating to find people who hog machines for countless hours when you are waiting for them to finish their workout. What seems even more disgusting is that they are not really using the treadmills or bikes but merely sitting on them. Moreover, you have to pretend to do more repetitions on other instruments while waiting just so that you can use the machines after they leave.

4. Planning Budget So You Can Afford Workout Supplements.
This happens all too often amongst people with tight budgets such as students. After spending loads of your parents’ money on your education, you feel guilty to ask them for more just so that you can get those pre and post workout supplements such as whey protein or mass gainer. Instead, you took up some part time jobs and carefully planning your expenses to squeeze out some extra money so you can afford them.

5. The Joy After The Workout.
At the end of the day, you feel satisfied and happy when you have completed your daily exercise routine. You are proud of yourself for living a healthy lifestyle and trying to become a better version of you by exercising despite having a busy schedule. You do not find time to work out, you take the effort to make the time to work out.

Have you experienced any of the things mentioned above? Let me know your story in the comments below.
