Sandwiches are probably one of the most favourite food of all time across the globe. It is not only easy to make, but also cheap and convenient. In tandem, sandwiches are generally delicious and they are a great way to fill your tummy regardless of where you are. However, here lies a major problem. With a wide array of choices, it is always a daunting task to determine which is the best sandwich out there.
Having said that, every country has its own twist on the sandwich. While some countries create their own signature sauces for their sandwiches, others have been very innovative as well as creative by fusing it with their local cuisine. For instances, Canada pours gravy and peas on top of their sandwiches while Japan adds their iconic yakisoba noodle in between the sandwich. Fortunately, the lovely people from Darwin Escapes have come up with a brilliant infographic that illustrates some 14 iconic sandwiches from around the globe.
