There is in fact a stark difference between being a manager and a leader. You can be a good manager but that does not mean you are a good leader. While most of their job scopes go hand in hand, they are not the same thing. A manager tells his or her employees what to do whereas a leader encourages his or her team to work better. In short, good leaders have people follow them while managers have people work for them.

In order to be a successful person, be it a business owner or entrepreneur, you need to acquire both roles to get your team work with you towards your vision of success. Fortunately, the folks at ResourcefulManager has come up with an excellent infographic which highlights the fine line between these two positions. It depicts up to 17 traits that set them apart from each other.
