1. Achievements Over Relationships
Generally, people who excel in their studies and end up furthering their studies in top notch universities focus more on achievements rather than relationships. This is partly because they were brought up to aim for excellence in things they do. Hence, they tend to have less time to form friendships, and eventually relationships with others.
2. Brain Over Beauty
Smart people like to mingle with people who are equally, if not smarter than them. They have a penchant for people with brains than those with beauties (if they have brains and beauties, that is a plus!). In tandem, smart people do have their own form of attractions and it takes a special person to appreciate them.
3. People Find Them Intimidating
While this case may not apply to all, some people find people who are brighter than them intimidating. This is clearly evident when they are having an argument with one another; where the smarter person always comes up with more logical points and makes the other half speechless every time.
4. They Are Difficult To Understand
The society often finds intelligent people somewhat peculiar and complex. Well, it is totally understandable as their minds are complicated and it is tough to explain everything to everyone. There are a lot of things that are constantly going on in their minds and sometimes they are overwhelmed by their own thoughts as well.
5. They Analyse Too Much
This can be a massive issue when it comes to dating. Intelligent people try to analyse and understand relationship but they do not realise that relationship itself is not merely an equation for them to solve. There is much more than that as it involves trust and faith between two people which can be tricky at times in order to make a relationship successful.
